The St. Rita Christmas Bazaar will be held Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the St. Rita Catholic Church Family Life Center.
In years past the Christmas Bazaar was a great opportunity for the Loving Hands Ministry to offer handmade gifts and raise money to support their ministry. This year, we hope that all the other ministries at St. Rita will join the fair to raise money and awareness for their unique and worthy causes.
Kristy Seeliger, our parish event planner, is spearheading the event and has high hopes that this year’s Christmas Bazaar will bring many parishioners and community members together and encourage greater involvement in our parish ministries.
“Every time we gather it is a chance for our people to get to know each other a little better, connect, and grow deeper in faith together,” says Kristy. “The event is also an opportunity for representatives of our ministries to share their mission and how they serve our parish and people in need in the greater community.”
“Shoppers can expect one-of-a-kind finds, such as ornaments, quilts, jewelry, wine glass coasters, home decor, knitted and crocheted pieces, artwork, faith-based keepsakes, children’s gifts, as well as baked sweets, other edible goodies, and much more,” says Kristy.
“This event will have a festive atmosphere, cheery music, tasty eats, and the potential to discover hidden talents of fellow parishioners and show them support while taking home a meaningful gift for someone,” says Kristy.
Since all the parish ministries will be represented at the Bazaar, the event will act as a sort of ministry fair as well. As parishioners shop, they will learn about how St. Rita serves those in our parish and the broader community.
“Not only are we planning for the St. Rita Christmas Bazaar to be a fun and engaging event to find unique handmade Christmas presents, but it is also our hope that people will find that spark with one of these amazing groups and will be inspired to become more involved within our parish family,” says Kristy.
To make this event a success, all parishioners who have a talent for making crafts, works of art, or other handmade items are invited to contact Kristy to get more information about selling their items as a vendor at the Bazaar. All the ministries and vendors will retain 100% of the profit from their sold items.
Additionally, there is a need for volunteers to help set up and tear down before and after the event. “We’ll need help with decorating, setting up, tearing down, cleaning up, and other related tasks,” says Kristy.
All parishioners are encouraged to come out for the St. Rita Christmas Bazaar. Bring your friends and family to shop for unique Christmas gifts and support our parish ministries.
