Dear Parishioners,
As we strive to strengthen our relationship with God, do we spend quality time talking with Him through prayer? Do we have a meaningful prayer life where we set aside time intentionally to devote to personal prayer as well as participate in communal prayer services? Is praying an integral part of our life?
To grow in holiness, prayer is essential. We benefit from having thoughtful conversations with Jesus showing our gratitude for His blessings and asking His guidance to deal with the challenges we face. Prayer brings peace to the soul and assists us in living as disciples of Christ.
In this newsletter, we showcase two opportunities for prayer. On Sunday mornings, join our parish community in praying the Rosary between the 10 a.m. and 12 noon Masses. The other opportunity features Prayer and Life Workshops, another approach to evangelization, to learn to grow spiritually through prayer.
I encourage each of us to take time to evaluate our prayer life and make a commitment to devote a part of each day in talking with Jesus Christ. Also, consider participating in the many prayer opportunities offered by the Cathedral.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Fr. Michael O’Reilly
Pastor
