The McGread Stewardship Conference is held at the Diocese of Wichita’s Spiritual Life Center in Wichita, Kansas.
The late Msgr. McGread, who passed away in April 2013, is often called the “Father of Stewardship.” He was instrumental in the drafting of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ pastoral letter, Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response.
Now in its 16th year, the McGread Conference has inspired and educated thousands of priests, religious, and lay Catholics, by sharing the remarkable stories of how developing the spirituality of stewardship has transformed parishes and impacted the lives of individual parishioners across the country. You will also hear the story of how stewardship forever changed Msgr. McGread’s parish — St. Francis of Assisi in Wichita — and how Monsignor’s vision has impacted other parishes across the country.
The conference also will feature presentations by pastors and lay leaders who will share stories of how stewardship has become a way of life in their parishes. What’s more, the site of the conference — the Diocese of Wichita’s Spiritual Life Center — is a chance to witness firsthand how stewardship can transform the life of a parish and an entire diocese!
