When we think of the Garden of Eden we most often think of Paradise.
Imagine a perfect place where our heart is content and we have everything that we could possibly want, and more. There is no pain, no guilt, no frustration and no darkness. Utopia.
Yet, even though Adam and Eve were in a place so perfect, through Satan’s temptations they were lured to want “even more.”
At times we feel the same as Adam and Eve did. We are tempted to believe that there is more out there and we become dissatisfied. We become ungrateful for God’s generous gifts and believe there is more beyond His love.
Of course, when we look for more we are usually left empty.
As stewards, we know better. We know that there is nothing more than God. We know that the ultimate end is our eternal reward with God in Heaven. Anything less will not suffice.
