When something in our life goes wrong, it’s a normal response to turn to prayer. We are distraught, frightened, or upset, and Christians know there is no better way to ease our burden than to turn to Christ in our time of need.
However, do we also find ourselves running to Christ in ordinary times?
Think about it. When it’s a good day, when nothing unusual or challenging has occurred, are we thankful? What may seem like a mundane, status quo kind of day, is actually a blessing, isn’t it? And, if we feel blessed, shouldn’t we say so?
What about when something amazing happens in our lives? Do we turn to God in thanksgiving for providing those blessings?
As stewards, we know the power of prayer. We should always remember that prayer is necessary in both good times and bad. After all, everything we receive from God – whether challenging or triumphant – is a gift to be thankful for.
