We are presented with thousands of opportunities each and every day. Opportunities to love our spouses. Opportunities to serve our children. Opportunities to teach a young person a skill, or to listen to a friend who is hurting.
Sometimes, these opportunities are clear-cut. Parents of infants must feed and diaper their babies since they can’t do so for themselves.
But then there are the opportunities that aren’t so obvious. What about the neighbors who are going through a divorce? Should we reach out to them, or act as though nothing has changed?
We are called to make the most of every opportunity. Each utilized opportunity is a steppingstone to reach our God-given potential, while each wasted opportunity prevents us from becoming what God has envisioned for us.
The opportunities we are given are God’s gift to us.
What we do with those opportunities is our gift to God.
Pray to make the most of every opportunity. Then, quit praying and start doing!
